Dr. Bo Townsend with KP Dentistry

Dr. Bo Townsend

Dr. Bo and his wife Minette both grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi, 75 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee. They both graduated from Millsaps College in 1996, and Dr. Bo attended dental school at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis from 1996-2000. After completing dental school, Dr. Bo and Minette moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he worked in a dental office that primarily treated children. It was there that he discovered his passion for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Bo then completed an additional two-year residency program to specialize in pediatric dentistry at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Dr. Bo has treated children from around the world. He wants all children to have the opportunity for good oral care and to learn that going to the dentist is not a scary experience. He has been a part of several mission trips to help kids in pain and to spread the love of Jesus Christ. In 2000, Dr. Bo went on his first trip to Russia; in 2002, he went to Chile; in 2004, Africa; and in 2007, Nicaragua. He also treats children from Wears Valley Ranch in Sevierville, TN.

Dr. Charlotte Grant

Dr. Charlotte Grant

Dr. Charlotte graduated from University of Michigan Dental School in 2004, and was general dentist in Michigan for 17 years before going back to school to specialize in pediatric dentistry. She completed her pediatric residency at University of Minnesota in 2023, and is now a board-eligible specialist. During residency Charlotte focused on medically and behaviorally complex patients. She believes every child deserves dental care.

When it came time to seek a job after residency, Charlotte and her husband decided they were tired of Michigan winters and settled in Knoxville. Since coming here they have been enjoying the local arts scene, the outdoor activities, and the much warmer weather. Charlotte and her husband have two teenage daughters, and a rescued dog named Emma. They enjoy visiting family in Michigan, but are very happy to call Tennessee home.
