It’s the first day of November, and that means it is National Brush Your Teeth Day! The team at Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry, the best pediatric dentist in Knoxville and surrounding areas, uses this day every year to continue advocating for proper brushing. It may seem like what we always do, but it never hurts to add something different, like a national holiday! For this month’s blog post, our offices in Bearden, Farragut, Sevierville and Knoxville have come together with some ways to make brushing more fun!
What is National Brush Your Teeth Day?
The name explains it all! According to the Dental Trade Alliance website, “National Brush Day is observed in the United States on November 1, the day after Halloween, to reinforce the importance of children’s oral health and promote good tooth-brushing habits recommended by dental experts.” Although it can seem like a chore, the team at Dallas Fort Worth Children’s Dental Network chooses to make brushing fun any way we can. Part of that means celebration! Because everybody should brush their teeth twice a day, it should be an enjoyable activity. Brushing with music, brushing with a friend, etc. However, if you want to do it, we say go for it!
